Willie B. Thais

Willie B. Thais, 88, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, February 22, 2017.

He was pre-deceased by his parents Willie & Maria Thais, sister Jennie Aragon, and son-in-law Jerald Lujan. Mr. Thais is survived by his wife of 67 years Leonor Thais; daughters Mary Lopez (Aristeo), Angie Lopez & husband James, Felajane Romero & husband Manuel, Dorrie Zamora & husband David, Sandra Lujan (Jerald - deceased), and JoAnn Thais; 16 grandchildren & 20 great grandchildren.

He served as a reservist with the Army Reserves and retired from the City of Albuquerque. Mr. Thais was a musician and played accordion for many choirs including Holy Rosary, Holy Family, and Nativity. His love of music extended to visiting the Senior Centers just to listen to the beautiful music; a special thank you to caregiver Darlene Pacheco for the love and support.

Mr. Thais's Life Celebration will begin with a Viewing on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church (5415 Fortuna Rd. NW 87105) followed by a Rosary at 10:15 a.m. and Mass at 11:00 a.m. also at Holy Rosary. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Lopez, Diego Zamora, David Zamora, Jason Sanchez, Josh Thais, and Kael Chambers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Duran & Eric Montgomery.
